Flatiron Kitchen

The ideas and recipes below are intended to you show you how our pepper flakes can be introduced into a variety of different recipes. Generally speaking, we like using the Four Pepper Blend and the "I Can't Feel My Face" on dishes that have a higher carb/fat content, to help soak up the high heat level of these blends; think pizza, pasta... The Hatch Valley Green has a more delicate flavor, so we like using it in scrambled eggs, soups, and other dishes that won't overwhelm its flavor. The Dark & Smoky and Sweet Heat are both great on protein-centric dishes like BBQ chicken, steak, and fish. These peppers are extremely versatile, so play around and discover how you like to use them!

Have fun experimenting with the peppers! Mike and Matt

Ways To Use The Peppers

Oven-Roasted Meats

You can use Four Pepper Blend to create a delicious and spicy crust for a variety of oven-roasted meats such as the Prime Rib pictured above. Just add it to your favorite dry rub (to taste and heat tolerance)!

Chicken Wings

Flatiron chile pepper blends work perfectly with both dry and wet hot wing recipes. Use them in a rub for the smoker, or mix with a buffalo or honey glaze to really make the flavors POP! Adding in some "I Can't Feel My Face" is always an option for impressing your high-tolerance guests...

Breakfast Spreads

We LOVE Hatch Valley Green in scrambled eggs, avocado toast, breakfast burritos or even to kick up bagels and cream cheese! It'll add a ton of savory flavor and just a touch of heat!

Carne Asada Fries

"I Can't Feel My Face" needs to be used in dishes with a high fat / carb content to absorb all that heat, and this one fits the bill perfectly. Also try it in stews, Mac-n-Cheese or meatballs.

On the Grill

On the grill or in the pan, Dark and Smoky adds a spicy, smoky blast of flavor to pork chops, chicken thighs, hamburgers or pan-seared veggies. It's BBQ sauce in pepper flake form.

Grilled Shrimp Salad

Don't be afraid to bring the heat when it comes to Seafood. Grilled shrimp skewers and Four Pepper Blend makes a great combination! We also LOVE using Sweet Heat on grilled or sautéed shrimp as well, a ton of flavor with just enough heat to make things interesting!

PIZZA!

Last but certainly not least, all of our pepper flake blends are awesome on pizza. Our company was conceived over slices and beers, and pizza is still our first test when we're building a new blend.
